NO WORRIES + PEACE = HAPPINESS
1 Peter 5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
I’m not a big worrier. I suppose that’s because I believe that everything will eventually work itself out and be okay, or maybe it wasn’t meant to be. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t worry; I do; I just don’t let it consume me. On the other hand, my husband is the complete opposite. He’s one of those people who can actually make himself sick with worry. He worries about everything, but he also has a caring heart. And because he cares so deeply, he worries intensely.
Worry and anxiety go hand in hand. The more you worry, the more anxious you get. We accomplish nothing by worrying, though we may lose a pound or two in the process because we are too worked up to eat. However, that’s not the kind of diet I would recommend. We need to figure out where all this worry is coming from.
What if you created a list of all your worries, then went back and crossed out the things you can actually fix or control? Your list would naturally become shorter. Conversely, the things you didn’t mark are probably beyond your control; those are things you need to turn over to God for Him to help you deal with.
The power of prayer is evident in the countless answered prayers we witness everyday. When you’re facing challenges, turn your worries to God. Draw upon his strength and courage to help you overcome your challenges.
Philippians 4:6-7
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Did you know that by letting go of our anxieties and worries, we can lighten our load and find greater joy and happiness in our lives. Letting go will help us to find peace within ourselves and to be at peace with others.
Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a persons strength.
I understand that you may be feeling overwhelmed, but don’t lose your spirit. I’ve worked hard to become the strong person I am today, and I want you to know that you have the strength to overcome the worries and anxiety you face every day. Whether you want to bow your head, raise your hands, or get down on your knees, do whatever feels right for you. Please turn your worries over to God. By praying for his help to ease your worries, you can find peace and happiness.
